Website privacy

Updated 17 October 2026

Website analytics and page experiments are enabled by default. You can turn them off at any time using Analytics preferences in the footer or below. The website and demos work with analytics turned off.

What we measure

When analytics are on, we measure page visits, viewed sections, expanded explanations, install tabs, successful copies of the install prompt, links to documentation and repositories, demo visits, and page performance. We group traffic sources into broad categories such as search, GitHub and direct visits.

We use a random visitor identifier to count returning visits and keep an experiment assignment consistent. It is stored in your browser for up to 90 days.

What we leave out

Optional analytics do not collect demo prompts, agent conversations, API keys, clipboard contents, form input, full referring URLs or URL query strings. We do not record sessions or capture the Office demo's interface. Visitor IP addresses are not forwarded to the analytics database.

Page experiments

We may compare small variations in page wording or navigation. We record a variation only when its content is shown. Experiments do not change agents, model calls, access controls or demo behavior.

Your choice

Turning analytics off stops future measurement and removes the browser's visitor identifier. Your choice is remembered for 90 days. We also respect Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track, which keep analytics and page experiments off.

Infrastructure and retention

Hosting and delivery services process requests to serve and protect the site. Cloudflare also provides aggregate delivery and performance analytics independently of the optional measurement described above. The Office demo sends model requests to the selected model providers as part of its operation.

Optional event data is retained for 90 days. Backups expire after 14 days. Analytics are not used for advertising or sold.
